Previously we purchased a cheaper web cam. This was not a good thing. We then decided upon the logitech. The picture is great and we are enjoying being capable to talk to our friends and see them at the same time. This was a great purchase for us! - Wild Bill "See and Talk is Super!"
I read numerous reviews for webcams. The reviews for this Logitech QuickCam Converse MP seemed clear so I approved one. Installation was instant and easy: Put in the CD, stay on the directions, plug in the webcam when told to (not before to or Windows will bed in the ill-treat driver.)The depiction is very good and all tells me the microphone is apparent and bracing. It picks up voices from everyplace in my home personnel (ex- bedroom). It has a privacy slide that covers the lens or you can use the software to put up any non-payment depiction from your hard handbook. The pop up software provides a visual 'ribbon' menu to top out from a tiny choice of only one of its kind equipment for both accent and depiction. (The webcam built into my son's Dell Inspirion has MANY more facial appearance but this has a best depiction.) It sits on top of my 17" Dell LCD mind very nicely. It has assumed role tracking to stay on your assumed role, tender and zooming as de rigueur. The rejoinder for this is very slow but I like that it adds a modest passage to an if not static assumed role; it kind of pans almost a modest. This map can be twisted off if you like.I bought it for Skype and it facility lacking fault. Of all the webcams out here, if you're looking for a upset moderately low-priced with a good depiction and signal, this is an exceptional investment. I use FWINK for my web page and elected QuickCam. When I use Skype it reluctantly switches over, then back when it's done. I can't do that with my grown-up webcam.I gave it five stars and may buy a additional one. I reflect it's a good deal.Rich

I actually purchased 3 of these. I have 2 new Grandsons and one of my sons had a webcam that he and his wife use in communicating with her parents who live in Germany. I bought my cam and it worked so well that I then purchased 2 for my additional sons so all could watch the boys grow. I found this cam very easy to use. The video is splendid. I was amazed at the low fee because I feel it is a quality manufactured goods and I have by now recommended it to additional grandparents that I know.

granted, I'll never use this camera for shooting a home record, but it only about may maybe. It was unadorned to install and worked splendid from the start. I've been by it to Skype friends and family tree and they've said they've never seen a clearer record. It's a splendid transact business.

I bought this webcam expecting a splendid product. Unfortunately I'm running into problems with this complex like many others - it doesn't work with Vista 64 bit. Keeps coming up with "change the bandwidth" and nobody can and not citations to fix. Lots of "forums" to track and no answers. Thus if NOT buying this product for Vista 64, you might be ok - if not stay away, mine just went into my closet. Now to go buy a unit that will work.

I at the initiation purchased a webcam by microsoft. The depiction was not good, and for some wits I got static on the signal. I returned it aptly away and exchanged it for logitech webcam. All I can say is WOW. The depiction feature is unquestionably incredible, the signal is amazing, it was exceptionally easy to bed in, easy to use - and I am even using it as a replacement for of the built in isight webcam on my macbook which I feel does not have good depiction feature at all - this is 10X best! I highly urge it.

Being a techy guy I really wanted to get a fancier web cam, but when I saw what good results my friends and parents got including this one, I couldn't pass it up for being less than half the price. I wasn't disappointed, it works great. 1.3MP force not be great for photos, but works great including Skype. I used it on Windows Vista x64, but looks like it supports Linux as well, haven't tried that yet.
